Hi all you pet lovers out there. I have a problem and wonder if any one else has has experience with this. My Suki cat (16 years old) was having some strange behaviour and I took him in for a check up. They did blood work etc and found out that he is hyper-thyroid. My vet said that he would put him on some pills (tapazole) and that should regulate his thyroid. He became a 2 pill a day cat and he seemed to be getting back to his old self when on the 11th day of pills he started vomiting. He...

Hi Pet Lovers, I'm hoping someone might offer me some advice. I first posted here a couple of months ago, about a problem I had with Royal Canin Senior dog food. My dogs had been on this diet for several years. Over the holidays, I fed them from a new bag and both got severely ill, with vomiting and diarrhea so bad they rapidly dehydrated. I got them to the emergency clinic right away, where they both underwent extensive diagnostic testing (blood, xrays, MRIs) and were kept for emergency...

A friend send me this An older, tired-looking dog wandered into my yard; I could tell from his collar and well-fed belly that he had a home and was well taken care of.? He calmly came over to me, I gave him a few pats on his head; he then followed me into my house, slowly walked down the hall, curled up in the corner and fell asleep. An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out. The next day he was back, greeted me in my yard, walked inside and resumed his spot in the hall...

I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with sugar gliders. I have been doing my research, and they seem like a good pet to have. We will definitely get two, as it is my understanding that they need companionship. They are very cute! img src="http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l65/sugar_2372/Saras%20siggies/flower-3.jpg" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"

Hi everyone, This is the first time I've posted to this discussion forum so please bear with me. I just wanted to remind everyone that we need to watch out for our four legged friends on Halloween. If at all possible, they should be kept inside. Some of our furry friends may be a little skittish or upset with strangers coming into their territory and may either run off or attack. On the flipside, there is also the potential that they could be taken or worse. It's better to be...

Hi, My 10 month old lab has diarrhea and although he is drinking lots of water, acts normal in every other way, it has been about 5 days, with loose stools, every second day or so. He had his neuter surgery about two weeks ago....everything went well. Any tips on treatment of this problem...I'm an RN and have read on a googled site that Imodium can be used for dogs, also acidophilous tablets. I'll be off to the vet this week, of course, if the situation doesn't resolve, but since it's the...
